We do our best to source brick that closely resembles the brickwork of your home so that the overall structure blends in seamlessly into your existing set-up. An orangery creates a year-round space with enhanced privacy.
Every orangery is a bespoke project so you can go any direction when it comes to design. However, you will need to choose between a traditional and contemporary styled orangery.
Traditional Orangery or Contemporary Orangery?
We are pleased to provide options to our customers and so if you’re looking for a more economical solution with all the bells and whistles of a traditional orangery, consider our contemporary orangery. The design is based on the solid brick structure of a traditional orangery. Internally, there is virtually no difference.
The main difference between a traditional orangery and a contemporary orangery is that the latter does not have a flat perimeter around the roof. Because of this, it is a more affordable option. Permaframe’s advisors can offer guidance on which orangery style is right for you.

With a modern glass roof, a considerable amount of natural sunlight will pass through it, resulting in a sufficiently bright orangery throughout the daylight hours. Our intelligent glazing will regulate the temperature so you can make the most out of your orangery throughout the seasons.

In addition to the obvious favourites such as traditional white and cream, we can also provide you with contemporary offerings such as black, chartwell green and grey so consider all the options first.

Choose from three glass roofs for your orangery: classic, cornice or lantern roof. A classic roof has all the hallmarks you would expect of a roof that has spanned the generations such as its clean and clear appearance. For a roof that grabs all the attention, try a cornice roof as it’s the cornice that gives the roof prominence within an orangery. A lantern roof, also known as an atrium roof, is a roofing system that never seems to date which is why it has been a prominent feature within orangery design for generations.
