Tom & Jordan's
Grey Envisage Flush Windows & French Door
A faithful upgrade to a cottage built in the 1920’s
To complement Tom and Jordan’s charming cottage, we installed Envisage windows and classic French doors.
The cottage had been in Tom’s family for 100 years and it was now Tom’s turn to make his mark on the stunning family cottage. He was keen to honour the traditional style of the historic property but to modernise the design in a few subtle ways.
Tom wanted new windows installed and to help us with our search for the perfect replacements, he uncovered some pictures of the original windows from the 1950s. The photogtaphs were vital in assisting us to recommend Envisage flush casement windows as a contemporary replacement. Tom was very keen on being faithful to the original window design and asked us to build the windows with coloured bars accessorised with internal monkeytail handles finished in grey.
Tom lives in the cottage with his partner, Jordan, and they both love hosting guests over. Therefore, since moving in he had always wanted to create a free-flowing space between the kitchen and garden. To achieve this, we converted the rarely used kitchen window into elegant French doors.
The project was completed in a matter of four hours…
The homeowners also live with a flock of kitchens and two dogs. Now the cottage has an authentic feel with traditional-looking windows that perform as they should. The Envisage windows have also minimised external noise while additionally enhancing comfort levels and energy efficiency. Tom and Jordan are certain that they have made the right decision for their needs, while being assured that their ancestors would still feel at home.
